Isabelle Pelegrini – Princess CamCam
Part of the Viens voir ma ville collection.
Marie is a little Parisian girl.
She walks around Paris and describes her daily life in a simple way.
The book says that it is suitable for ages 5 and up, but of course the children (or their parents) must know French.
For non native speakers, I would say it is more appropriate for primary school students with an A1-A2 level in French.
You can get a preview of its pages on the publisher’s website.
They also offer MP3 audio, with lovely music and matching city sounds accompanying the narration.
In Greece, it is recommended in French classes.
Although it is not a travel guide, I included it in my collection because it’s a book that can accompany a family trip to France. Another reason I added it here is that I found it while decluttering from the time my daughters were in primary school, and I felt nostalgic.
If you want more practice in French, the Viens voir ma ville series also includes other books, such as Ping Ping from Beijing, Miyako from Tokyo, and Lilly from New York. Hopefully, soon there will be one about Sifis from Crete 🙂
Bon voyage!
